Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Requirements

• In addition to an acceptable pass in UME, candidate seeking admission into B.Sc. Degree programme in Computer Science must have not less than ordinary level credit passes in at least five (5) SSCE /GCE, SSCE /NECO (or acceptable equivalents) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two other science subjects at not more than two sittings from Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Economics and Further Mathematics. Candidates are, in addition, required to submit themselves for a written examination and oral interview before admission is finally offered to deserving candidates.

Direct Entry Requirements

Candidates seeking direct entry admission into the Computer Science programme must in addition to satisfying the University matriculation requirements, possess:

1. A minimum of two Advanced level passes in the General Certificate of Education (GCE) or Higher School Certificate (HSC) or its recognized equivalent qualifications at not more than two sittings. The subjects should include Mathematics and any other science subjects.
2. At least a credit pass in Diploma from a recognized institution in Data Processing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related disciplines.
3. Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE) with at least Credit level pass in Mathematics and any other science subject from a recognized College of Education. In addition, Candidates should have at least an overall Merit pass.
