Course Entry/Admission Requirements for MSc.Ed. in Agricultural Education at University of Calabar

To be qualified for admission, the prospective candidate must be a University graduate with the following minimum qualifications:

i. Holders of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.(Ed.)) degree or its equivalents in Agricultural Education from University of Calabar or other universities recognized by the Senate of University of Calabar with a CGPA not below 2.75 on a 4-point scale or 3.00 on a 5-point scale.

ii. Holders of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in any related area of Agriculture such as Animal Science, Crop Science, Soil Science, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology, Wildlife Management, Forestry, Fisheries, etc. with a CGPA not below 2.75 on a 4-point scale or 3.00 on a 5-point scale. They in addition must obtain a minimum teaching qualification of Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from accredited tertiary institutions.

iii. Holders of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in academic disciplines such as Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences and related disciples with a CGPA not below 2.75 on a 4-point scale or 3.00 on a 5-point scale. They in addition must obtain a minimum teaching qualification of Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Education (PGDAE) from accredited tertiary institutions.

iv. Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate with at least a lower credit level pass from accredited educational institutions in any field of Agriculture. Such candidate must in addition, obtain a minimum teaching qualification of Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PDGE) from accredited tertiary institution.

v. Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate with at least a lower credit level pass from accredited educational institutions in any field of Biological Sciences and Environmental Science and related disciplines. Such candidate must in addition, obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Education (PGDAE) from accredited tertiary institutions.

Payment And Registration Procedure

The following options are available:

  1. E-tranzact option:
    This option is available in all commercial banks nationwide. At the bank your are required to pay and obtain an E-transact PIN. With the PIN log into the portal http://www.myunical.edu.ng and click on the UTME Admission Screening link then follow the instructions on the portal after login.

  2. Buy Post-UTME Pin Online option:
    This option gives access to purchase Post-UTME pin from the portal. Click Buy Post-UTME Pin Online to purchase the Post-UTME pin online. Login with the TRANSACTION ID as the PIN into the portal.

  3. Scratch Card Option:
    This option is available in the following banks within Calabar Metropolis ONLY:
    a.    Unical Microfinance Bank
    b.    WEMA Bank
    c.    First city Monument Bank
    d.    Heritage Bank

On obtaining the scratch card proceed as follows:

  • LOG ON TO http://www.myunical.edu.ng and click on the UTME Admission Screening link
  • On the home page, enter your correct JAMB Registration Number in the box provided
  • Enter the scratch card pin in the box provided
  • Click on login and follow the online instructions.
  • Confirm your entries and CLICK ON SUBMIT
  • Print out the completed form.


THE FOLLOWING CHARGES SHALL APPLY:
Aptitude Test is = ₦2,000.00.

IT MUST BE FURTHER NOTED THAT:

  1. Impersonation is a serious offence and anyone caught will be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agents and may be liable to up to 5 years imprisonment
  2. Any candidate who fails to take part in the screening exercise automatically loses his or her chance of being considered for admission.
  3. Early commencement of registration is advised to avoid congestion in the dying hours.
