Course Entry/Admission Requirements for MSc in Communication Studies at Bomet University College

  1. A degree in communication, media studies, Human Resource Development/any social science, language, linguistics, literature, public relations and public administration, Diplomacy/international affairs, Law, Education particularly with a bias in Social sciences, Public Relations or other related studies with at least an upper second-class honors from Moi University or a university recognized by the Moi University Senate.
  2. Applicants with a Lower Second class honours and relevant field experience may also be considered

Requirements for International Applicants

  1. All academic certificates and transcripts should be translated to English and authenticated by relevant institutions i.e. Ministry of Education/Ministry of Foreign Affairs/Kenyan Embassy in the Country of origin.
  2. All foreign university certificates should be presented to the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) or the Commission for University Education (CUE) for accreditation of foreign institutions.
  3. All foreign high school/secondary school certificates should be presented to the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) or the Commission for University Education (CUE) for equation.
  4. International Applicants within the Country will be required meet the above requirements before submitting their applications.
  5. International applicants outside the country will be issued with provisional offers of admission upon submission of their applications subject to fulfillment of the above requirements during registration.
  6. Kenyan citizens with International Certificates will be expected to meet requirement number 2 above.
